The Chinese Medical Doctor Association and London-based Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists have launched a training program in Beijing, in a bid to develop China's obstetricians and gynaecologists.Sponsored by German pharmaceutical company Bayer, the program aims to foster international academic exchange, encourage communication between domestic and international medical associations, and professionally improve China's obstetricians and gynaecologists, especially young doctors. As part of the program RCOG, considered one of the most authoritative academic institutions in the world, will test gynaecologists, holding them to a standard considered among the strictest worldwide.Due to the language barrier and difficulty of the test itself, only a limited number of Chinese obstetricians and gynaecologists will pass each year. This is the first time that RCOG has offered its training program in non-Commonwealth countries. The program will first select 30 doctors through academic tests in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Wuhan and Guangzhou.Selected doctors will then receive pre-test training from RCOG professors, while academic idea-sharing forms the third part of the test.Doctors are eager to progress to international academic research and cutting-edge academic concepts, in order to update their academic knowledge as soon as possible and to promote the improvement of clinical practice. custom sports bracelets

[Photo/VCG]  Yangchengtong, a major electronic payment company in Guangzhou, is negotiating with its Hong Kong and Macao counterparts to introduce a smart card that will be used in all cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area before 2022. Residents in the bay area cities will be able to use just one smart card to enjoy all the public transport services, including buses and metro lines, in the nine cities in South China's Guangdong province and Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions after the final deal is inked before 2022, said a statement released by Yangchengtong on Monday. It plans to better serve residents and tourists in the bay area in public transport services, the latest move to meet the growing demands in boosting exchanges and cooperation among the bay area cities in the future, the statement said. Currently, residents in these cities have to switch to different cards if they want to take public transport services in the other cities. The bay area includes the cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhuhai, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Huizhou, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing in Guangdong, and Hong Kong and Macao.
